TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

1) Hamurana Spring 

  • It's a magical nature reserve. It's known for being the deepest natural spring in the North Island. The waters of Hamurana Springs are shot with hues of turquoise, greens, and blues, flowing directly into Lake Rotorua. This springs are comprised of two separate but equally beautiful springs and the smaller dancing sands spring. The area is a wildlife sanctuary and hosts many bird species, including scaup and the endangered dabchick.  


2) Kuirau Geothermal Park:

  • It's a geothermal wonderland that offers visitors the opportunity to see geothermal activity up close. This park features several walkways that take you past a crater lake, mud pools, hot springs, and a free thermal foot bath. All of these are set in a beautifully manicured setting dotted with flower beds and native flora. 
 

3) Ohinemutu Maori Village 


  • It's a living Maori village located next to the lake of Rotorua. It's home to the Ngāti Whakaue tribe, a sub-tribe of the Te Arawa wake, which journeyed from the Pacific homeland of Hawaiki to New Zealand around 1350AD.  This village was chosen for its lakeside setting and abundant geothermal energy, used for cooking, bathing, and heating. It's home to a magnificent traditional Maori meeting house named Tamatekapua. The carvings on the house are exquisite and highlighted by hundreds of inland shiny paua shells.  


4) Government Garden

5) Redwood Forest 

  • It's a natural wonder located along the Pacific Coast, from central California to southern Oregon. It's home to the tallest trees on Earth, the coast redwoods. These forest grow natively in a narrow band and depend on a maritime climate, which provides the relatively stable temperature, ,moisture, and fog that redwoods need. 


6) Secret Spot hot Tubs
